Liz Hurley's day in the pink

Elizabeth Hurley was in the pink yesterday, as she made a string of public appearance for Breast Cancer Awareness.

First up, and even leaving the house, she stuck to her theme, wearing a hot pink trench belted at the waist.

Onto her first event of the day, and the Estée Lauder ambassador stopped by Selfridges on London's Oxford Street, to sign purchases of the beauty giant's pink ribbon collection, which raises funds for the charity.

Here she wowed in a coral gown, teamed with strappy metallic sandals.

Then for the big event of the day, Hurley stepped it up a gear, flaunting her enviable curves in a super-low cut hot pink Giambattista Valli dress, with corsage shoulder detailing.

Showing off her pneumatic figure, the mother of one arrived at the Tower of London, where she turned the historic building completely pink, flicking the switch to bathe it in fuchsia lights.

The star has travelled the world to raise awareness for Breast Cancer month, and recently visited New York, where she turned Bloomingdales pink.

Aishwarya looks sizzling hot in pink gown

Time to have a re-poll of Asia’s sexiest women, coz Aishwarya Rai is sure to top it।
The much married Ash, who’s been overtaken by the likes of Katrina Kaif and Bipasha Basu in popularity polls, was a heart-stopper on the red carpet at the premiere of her movie Pink Panther 2 at the Berlin Film Festival on Friday.

Donned in a Pink gown that accentuated her bust, Ash was dressed for the occasion in more ways than one. While Pink went well for the movie’s premiere, the sequin-studded heart on the gown celebrated the Valentine spirit.

The gorgeous carpet-scorcher posed for shutterbugs with her ‘Pink Panther’ costars Steve Martin and Jean Reno. Most remarkable about Ash was the ease with which she carried herself that the premiere.

She showed no hurry and took about 15 minutes posing for pictures, giving autographs and speaking to reporters.

When asked about her small role in the film, the beautiful lady brimmed with a smile and quipped that working with actors like Martin, Reno and Cleese mattered more to her than the length of her role.

In the last few days Ash has been on a whirlwind tour across different countries for the premiere of ‘Pink Panther 2’. But she surely didn’t look as sizzling anywhere as she did at Berlinale Palast.

Pink Fashion Show: Sara Campbell

From lighting and flowers to table cloths and martinis, Sara Campbell’s Dress for a Cause fashion show at the Boston Harbor Hotel on Tuesday night was brimming with pink (and sass) for a very charitable reason: breast cancer research.

Campbell paired up with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation to raise funds for the clinical and genetic research for breast cancer. Part of their effort was a collaboration on four preppy products (a silk scarf, ruffle tote, pattern bag, and a long-sleeved tee), which will be sold at her design studio with 100 percent profits benefiting BCRF.

Contrary to your typical bone-thin model ridden fashion shows, an uplifting and unlifted group of breast cancer survivors strutted down the runway in Sara Campbell’s new Fall ‘08 collection. The group exuded high spirits and poise and kept the good humor alive: Laughter ensued when describing their cancer experiences, with one cheeky speaker noting her newfound pair of “ta-tas.”

The jaunty crowd, mostly suited and pearl-studded ladies, became vivacious when the saucy threads cruised the catwalk to classic 80’s tunes (cue Wham!’s “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go”). The runway featured oodles of perfectly-fitted silk suits, knee-length coats lined with cheetah print, and polka-dotted black and white dresses. And pops of vibrant mustard yellows and Steel Magnolias-esque hot-pinks, dainty bows, and sequined accents were glittered throughout Campbell’s line.

Pop in Campbell’s SoWa digs (Bostonista loves a store with its own parking lot!) this month when 10 percent of all store sales will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Spring Fashion Trend: Pink

Continuing CF’s series on spring fashion trends, today I wanted to talk about one of the hottest colors to hit Spring 2008 runways, which just happens to be my favorite color ever… pink!

From cotton candy to fuchsia, many fashion designers incorporated shades of pink into their spring runway collections with diverse, yet equally fabulous results.

Designers going the pastel route included Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Betsey Johnson. These looks were very ethereal, and the pink was usually on a dress or skirt (although Michael Kors made some nice pink bags!)

Hot pink wasn’t one of the top 10 fashion colors for spring 2008, but that didn’t stop fashion houses like Alexander McQueen and Burberry Prorsum from using it in their ready-to-wear runway shows.

While Burberry displayed some gorgeous solid hot pink dresses, McQueen used the shade as an accent color, pairing his outfits with magenta belts, shoes, and accessories. This is a great way to wear the trend, because it’s cute and colorful without being over-the-top.

Like Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, I consider pink one of my "signature" colors, so of course I’m very excited to have an extra excuse to wear it all spring, haha! In honor of this trend, here are a bunch of pink clothes, shoes and accessories that I’m in love with right now!
